Autumn.

Romantic, moody, dramatic. Characterised by twinkling fairy lights and crunchy leaves underfoot.

It is a truly beautiful time of year to get married. Excellent golden light, a whole new range of colour palettes to work with and no overriding fears that your day will be completely ruined if it rains (because it very well might, and you’ve already made peace with that).

Food though, that’s a bit of a tricky one. What do you do when you’d like a fairly relaxed meal, but you know you definitely don’t want burgers?

Enter the Bistro Board, the shining star of Autumn. Informal, hearty classics served family-style to your tables, whatever the layout.

Seasonal, local produce served on olive wood boards with all the sides you could ever dream of, to choose from.

If you think you’d like more of a roast vibe, why not select our mouth-watering oven braised beef daube, slow roasted with thyme and bay leaves in Sussex Ale, served with root vegetable crush, Yorkshire puddings, chateau potatoes roasted in dripping and tender stem broccoli?

Or perhaps you fancy something a little out there? How about our Individual Ote farmed pork loin en routes stuffed with pork, pink lady and apricot stuffing, sage roasted root vegetables, mustard gravy and sunblush tomato new potato crush?

We like to think of our Bistro Boards as the friend you most like to see at parties; maximum pizazz, minimal fuss.

Actually, that’s how we like to work too. For us, the food and level of service should be impeccable, reliably so. We don’t drop the ball once the main bulk of the Summer wedding season comes to a close because we are just as excited about all of the wonderful Autumn weddings just around the corner!
